Moreland (elbow) is scheduled for a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock from Saturday to Monday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Moreland thus figures to join the Rangers for Tuesday's game against Edison Volquez and the Royals. There's little incentive to rush him back any sooner, with the Rangers facing southpaws Sunday and Monday. After that, the Rangers aren't scheduled to face another lefty all week, which means Moreland may get six consecutive starts against right-handed pitching.
