Moreland (ankle) has shed his cast and may be able to remove his walking boot in five weeks, Anthony Andro of FOXSportsSouthwest.com reports. It sounds like Moreland is progressing well in his recovery from June 23 ankle surgery, but he has no intention of returning in late September. He should have a relatively normal offseason and be back to full health by spring training.
