Moore allowed five runs on 10 hits and a walk with three strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision Monday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Supposedly Moore addressed a hitch in his delivery between his previous start and this one, but the results suggest he needs to head back to the drawing board. Moore didn't miss bats (seven swinging strikes in 88 pitches) and allowed three extra-base hits including his ninth home run allowed in as many starts. In Moore's first two full seasons with the Rays he allowed fewer than a home run per nine innings, but he has given up 17 home runs in just 109 innings (1.4 HR/9) since returning from injury in 2015. His ERA is now up to 5.47 and he won't improve that until he can figure out how to keep the ball in the yard once again.
