EDGE Analysis
Moore's performance was a mixed bag, with the five earned runs surrendered a black mark, but the 18 swinging strikes induced certainly a positive. He gave up a solo shot to Adam Jones in the fourth, and otherwise was done in by lesser hits. In the 'What Else Is New" category, he also suffered from a general lack of run support by the Rays offense. It was a step back overall for the 27-year-old southpaw, who'd delivered back-to-back quality starts prior to Friday's outing. He'll try to turn things around versus the Red Sox next Wednesday afternoon.
