Montgomery gave up three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings against the Mets on Wednesday. He struck out four and didn't factor into the decision after his bullpen imploded in the middle and late innings.
EDGE Analysis
Montgomery's put up middling results in his first couple starts of 2017, and his 35:24 K:BB isn't all that supportive of his 2.56 season ERA. Nonetheless, the lefty's likely to hold a rotation spot for at least one more start yet, as Kyle Hendricks' recovery from a hand injury has hit a snag.
