Oakland Athletics first baseman Mitch Moreland (side) remains out of the lineup Sunday. Manager Bob Melvin said that Moreland is doing "a little better" Sunday, though the team will have a better idea of his future availability during their off day Monday. Jed Lowrie will serve as the designated hitter Sunday and bat sixth.
