Minor (shoulder) tossed three innings in an extended spring training game Friday, the Kansas City Star reports. While his activation from the DL is to be determined, general manager Dayton said of the left-hander, "...if everything continues to progress well, it'll happen probably in the next few weeks or so."
EDGE Analysis
After missing all of last season due to a torn labrum, Minor has built up his arm strength at the Royals' complex in Arizona, even firing some fastballs in the mid-90s during recent outings. Moore relayed that Minor can be expected to make regular appearances moving forward, but upon activation from the 60-day disabled list, he may require additional starts in the minors before the Royals consider him for the big league rotation.
