Miller (8-1) gave up just one hit over two innings of scoreless ball in Saturday's 1-0 extra-inning victory over the Tigers. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
After starter Carlos Carrasco had to exit after only two pitches with what turned out to be a non-displaced fracture in his throwing hand, a cadre of Indians relievers of which Miller was the last teamed up to stymie the Tigers. The towering reliever fired 22 of his 35 pitches for strikes and earned the victory when Jose Ramirez snapped a scoreless tie with a 10th-inning RBI single that plated Jason Kipnis. After a difficult two-appearance stretch earlier in the month when he gave up three earned runs over 1.2 innings, Miller has bounced back with five straight scoreless efforts.
