SP STL
Miles Mikolas got a no-decision in his first major league start, allowing three runs over 5 1/3 innings as the Rangers fell to the Orioles in a rain-soaked game on Wednesday.
Mikolas had made 27 relief appearances for the Rangers over the last two seasons, but this was his first major league start (and his 2014 debut). The right-hander allowed seven hits -- including a solo home run to Adam Jones -- while walking two and striking out four. Mikolas took the place of Joe Saunders, who was designated for assignment, in the rotation. He'll match up against the Astros at home in his next start.
