Mikolas shut out the Mariners for eight innings Monday en route to his second victory of the season. Mikolas has settled down a little bit this month, aside from a 10 run debacle August 13, allowing only six runs in his other four starts. Still, the right-hander sports a gaudy 6.44 ERA and 1.43 WHIP overall. Mikolas will toe the rubber Saturday in Houston.
