Mikolas gave up three runs on eight hits over three innings Wednesday against the Marlins. He struck out six batters and didn't factor into the decision in the 4-3 extra-inning loss. This wasn't a bad start if compared to Mikolas' 10-run debacle against the Rays his last time out, but there's still little to get excited about here. With a 7.48 ERA and a 6.0 K/9 IP rate over 49.1 innings this season, Mikolas isn't exactly making a strong case to be a member of the Rangers' 2015 rotation.
