Mike Trout's agent, Craig Landis, told Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times that there haven't been any talks with the Angels about a long-term deal. "I'll answer one question on contract talks - there have been no discussions," said Landis. "Obviously, Mike's future is extremely bright. We'll be patient. Mike's a young guy. However it goes, he's going to make a lot of money and be a great player." There has been some speculation that there is some animosity between the two sides after the Angels took a hardline stance about his salary for 2013, but Trout can't go anywhere for a while. The 22-year-old will be arbitration-eligible for the first time after the 2014 season and is scheduled to hit free agency after 2017.
