Mike Puma and Ken Davidoff of the New York Post have been told by Mets executives it's a "long shot" that they'll sign Stephen Drew. Agent Scott Boras told the Post that it's "very clear the Mets have interest in Stephen Drew," which is no surprise given how much they've been connected to him this winter. However, Boras is looking for at least a three-year deal and it doesn't appear the Mets are willing to give it to him. Drew has struggled to attract a healthy market this winter because his free agency is tied to draft pick compensation.
