Mike Pelfrey hurled a complete game Wednesday evening in the Mets' 8-2 victory over the Reds. Pelfrey needed 108 pitches to turn the trick. He allowed two runs on seven hits and no walks, striking out three. Pelfrey gave up a solo homer to Joey Votto in the fourth but was otherwise spectacular. After allowing four earned runs in four of his last seven starts, tonight was a good step in the right direction. He'll take on the Marlins next week.
