Mike Pelfrey allowed seven runs over three innings in a loss to the A's on Wednesday. Pelfrey's seven runs allowed was just the beginning for Twins pitchers, as the A's put up 18 runs in the game. The big righty fell to 5-12 with a 5.31 ERA in 27 starts. He'll take the mound again next week at the White Sox.
