Mike Minor struggled against the Cardinals on Friday, giving up six runs on eight hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work. Minor did manage to strike out seven and didn't walk a batter in the game. His pitches were catching far too much of the plate though and he was very hittable. Matt Carpenter, Carlos Beltran and Allen Craig each took him deep on the night. Minor now sits at 2-2 with a 6.59 ERA and may be better served getting some more seasoning at Triple-A. He'll look to improve next time out when he takes on the Marlins on Wednesday.
