Mike Minor had his second consecutive strong start since returning to the Braves rotation on Tuesday, allowing only one run on four hits over 7 1/3 innings to the Yankees. He left with a 4-0 lead, which the bullpen promptly squandered. Since his rotation turn was skipped at the beginning of the month, Minor has surrendered just two runs over 12 1/3 innings in two outings. His ERA has dropped nearly a run -- from 6.98 to 6.01 -- because of the impressive appearances. Although he's probably bought himself a bit of job-security leash, Minor's mini-resurgence has been somewhat deceiving. In those 12 1/3 frames, he had a poor 8/6 K/BB rate and required 203 pitches to notch 37 outs. He simply can't be trusted in mixed leagues.
