Mike Minor allowed three runs over seven innings in Tuesday night's loss to the Phillies. Minor fanned five and walked two. All three runs he allowed came across in the first inning, when Domonic Brown smashed an RBI double and rode home on a two-run homer from Ryan Howard. Minor settled in nicely after that, blanking the Phillies for the next six frames and keeping his team in the ballgame. He'll head into Monday's home start against the Padres with a 6-8 record, 4.95 ERA and 104/46 K/BB ratio. In six starts since the beginning of July, he's posted a 2.13 ERA and 32/8 K/BB ratio over 38 innings.
