Starting pitcher Mike Mayers made his Major League debut Sunday in magnificent fashion. He gave up nine runs on eight hits and two walks over only 1.1 innings. Mayers was only up to make a spot start after Tyler Lyons pitched multiple innings his last time out. His name can be promptly forgotten.
