St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Mike Mayers was called up from Triple-A Memphis for the seventh time this season. Mayers has been in and out of the revolving door that is the final spot in the Cardinals bullpen. He's pitched well when given the chance, but his options status makes him the odd man out more often than not. He'll take the place of Tyler Lyons, who landed on the disabled list with an elbow sprain.
