Mike Leake shut down the Pirates on Monday, allowing just one run over seven innings to outduel Francisco Liriano in the Reds' 4-1 victory. Liriano allowed just two runs, but the Reds got some insurance off Bryan Morris in the eighth. Leake is 5-1 with a 1.15 WEA over his last seven starts. He'll probably start giving up some more homers soon, but he might last as a solid mixed-league starter.
