Mike Carp went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a double in a win over the Yankees on Saturday. Carp knocked in John Jaso in the top of the second inning for the lone run of the ballgame. The 26-year-old has swung the bat well since taking over for Justin Smoak at first base, batting .419 (13-for-31) with one home run, three doubles and six RBI over his last nine games. He should continue to be an asset in AL-only leagues and may even be worth a flier in some deeper mixed leagues.
