Mike Carp blasted his second homer of the season on Saturday, but it was all the offense that the Mariners could muster in a loss to the Yankees. Carp finished the day 2-for-4 with a solo blast off Phil Hughes in the seventh inning and an RBI single in the ninth. He's struggled since returning from the disabled list, hitting just .167 (5-for-30) with two homers and seven RBI through 11 games. But perhaps he's ready to start roaring.
