Mike Aviles belted a two-run homer in the first inning on Friday, propelling the Indians to a 7-2 win over the Cubs in Cactus League action. The veteran infielder, who got the start at third base in this one, took Edwin Jackson over the boards in left field after a leadoff single by Nyjer Morgan. With his 1-for-2 effort, Aviles is now hitting an impressive .556 (5-for-8) in the early going. He's nothing but a fringe option in AL-only leagues unless an injury strikes in the Tribe's infield.
