Mike Adams relinquished a 5-3 lead in the eighth frame on Wednesday, yielding one earned run on two hits in 2/3 of an inning. The second run was charged to started Dustin Moseley. Adams surrendered a single and game-tying two-RBI double before inducing a couple of ground outs to avoid further damage. The outing was a rare blemish on Adams' otherwise exceptional season, in which he still commands a 1.35 ERA and 0.70 WHIP. He has not been charged with more than one earned run in his last 91 appearances, dating back to May 18, 2010.
