Michael Saunders was a late scratch from the Mariners' lineup Tuesday so that he could be with his wife, who just gave birth to a baby girl. It's not clear when he'll rejoin the team, but the out-of-contention Mariners will likely give Saunders as much time as he needs. Eric Thames took his spot in right field.
