Michael Saunders (groin) is not in the Mariners' starting lineup Monday night against the Red Sox. Saunders hasn't played since leaving Friday's game in the fourth inning with a tweaked groin. But he did some pregame work on Monday and should return to action later this week. The outfielder is hitting .245/.299/.413 with 14 home runs, 27 doubles and 43 RBI.
