Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday retroactive to July 12 due to a dislocated left thumb, according to the Palm Beach Post. Gordon appears to have escaped serious ligament damage however and is not expected to miss a significant amount of time.
