Mets transferred LHP Tim Byrdak from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list. The move cleared a spot on the 40-man as the Mets added some September call-ups on Tuesday. Byrdak is scheduled to undergo surgery this week for a torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder and a meniscus issue with his right knee. The 38-year-old will likely miss the first half of the 2013 season.
