Mets signed OF Andrew Brown to a minor league contract. The deal includes a spring training invite. Brown has a .224/.284/.396 batting line over 57 games in the majors, but he has posted some huge numbers in the minors, particularly against lefties. The 28-year-old hits from the right side, which is an area of need for the Mets, so he could contend for a roster spot.
