Mets signed INF Omar Quintanilla to a minor league contract with a spring training invite. Quintanilla appeared in 29 games with the Mets last season prior to being traded to the Orioles in July. The 31-year-old owns a .220/.279/.302 batting line in the majors and will be an underdog to beat out Brandon Hicks for a backup infielder spot.
