Mets signed 3B David Wright to an eight-year, $138 million extension. The deal, of course, was reported last week, and it's now official after Wright passed his physical Tuesday. The Mets ripped up Wright's contract for 2013, so it's a brand new eight-year pact but will in reality only add seven years, extending him through the 2020 campaign. The 29-year-old batted .306/.391/.492 with 21 homers, 93 RBI and 15 steals in 2012.
