The New York Mets have promoted second baseman Brian Dozier to the active roster. Dozier initially signed a minor league deal with the San Diego Padres, but was cut prior to the start of the new season. It didnt take long for Dozier to find a new home and he will bat seventh in his Mets debut versus the Red Sox on Thursday.
