Mets placed SS Ruben Tejada on the 15-day disabled list with a right quad strain. Tejada suffered the injury Sunday after stumbling and falling face-first into first base. Justin Turner and Jordany Valdespin will split playing time at shortstop for now, but the Mets are hopeful Ronny Cedeno (intercostal strain) will be able to come off the disabled list by the end of the week. None are very exciting from a fantasy perspective.
