Mets placed LHP Josh Edgin on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 30, with a stress fracture in his ribs. Tough break for Edgin, who had a 0.93 ERA in 23 appearances since returning from the minors in June. No word yet on how long he'll be sidelined. The Mets haven't announce a corresponding move.
