Mets placed INF Justin Turner on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 17, with an intercostal strain. The move clears a spot for Scott Atchison's return from the disabled list. Turner will be eligible to return in early July and has a chance to be ready by then. The 28-year-old is batting .266/.307/.330 in 94 at-bats this season.
