Mets manager Terry Collins said Tuesday that Jason Bay (illness) is likely done for the season. Bay is dealing with some weakness due to his recent illness. While he played better down the stretch, the 33-year-old outfielder has been a massive disappointment over his first two seasons with the Mets, batting just .251 with a .723 OPS and 18 homers over 910 plate appearances. He is still owed $16 million each of the next two seasons and either a $17 million club option or $3 million buyout for 2014.
