Mets manager Terry Collins indicated Friday that Travis d'Arnaud remains an option to fill in at catcher once John Buck takes his paternity leave. Buck is expecting a child any day now, and will miss up to three days once his wife goes into labor. It has been a tough season for d'Arnaud who was sidelined for several months with a broken foot, but if he can impress in his brief audition, it stands to reason he could remain with the team for the remainder of the season.
