According to New York Mets beat reporter Mike Puma, the team is leaning toward a bullpen game on Sunday against the Pirates, in lieu of starting pitcher Jacob deGrom getting the nod. Despite leaning in that direction, though, deGrom will reportedly still be given the opportunity to pitch if he wishes to do so on Sunday. deGrom last started on Wednesday, so if he does pitch on Sunday it would be on short rest just prior to the All-Star break.
