Mets and Ruben Tejada avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.1 million contract. Tejada struggled mightily in 2013, batting .202/.259/.260 in 57 games. The Mets have continuously stated a willingness to enter next season with the 24-year-old as their starting shortstop, but they're also believed to be keeping their options open. The team is believed to be one of the clubs in the market for Stephen Drew.
