McKenry agreed to a one-year, $1.0876 million contract with the Rockies on Friday, avoiding arbitration, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports. McKenry's performance in a limited role last season (.315/.398/.512 with eight homers in 57 games) will likely have many in two-catcher leagues licking their chops next spring, but there are reasons for skepticism. He had a .381 BABIP and 18.2% HR/FB rate. Also, veteran Nick Hundley was brought in during the offseason, so McKenry isn't even a lock to break camp with the big club barring a Wilin Rosario trade.
