McGowan has been sent down to Triple-A Lehigh after clearing waivers, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports. McGowan was unspectacular to say the least in his only start for the Phillies and will likely only be seen in a bullpen role going forward unless they get truly desperate.
