McGehee was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday. He'll bat seventh in the order and start at third base in the Tigers' game against the Mets.

With Nick Castellanos landing on the DL after fracturing his left hand in Saturday's game, McGehee will join the big club for the second time this season to add some depth at third base. Manager Brad Ausmus indicated duties at the hot corner would be shared among McGehee, Austin Romine and Mike Aviles, so none of those players will profile as a particularly attractive fantasy option unless somebody hits well enough to run away with the everyday gig.
