McGee has been dealing with left knee inflammation that forced him to go the DL on June 11 and has been making steady progress since then. He threw from 110 feet on flat ground Friday and has taken another step forward by throwing a bullpen session. He's scheduled to throw another one Sunday and could bypass a rehab assignment and return to the Rockies organization once eligible on June 25.
