McGee (elbow) will throw his first live batting practice session Thursday and a second on Monday, assuming everything goes well, the Tampa Tribune's R. Mooney reports. He said that the plan is to pitch in an extended spring training game Apr. 16, which would keep him on track to rejoin the Rays in late-April/early-May.
