McGee (elbow) will head out on a rehab assignment this week, the Tampa Bay Times reports. McGee threw a bullpen session Sunday without issue, and the Rays cleared him to pitch in minor league games. McGee is expected to appear in three rehab games and should be ready to pitch for the Rays around May 1.
