McGee (elbow) tossed a scoreless inning at Triple-A Durham on Tuesday night. According to the Tampa Bay Times, McGee was making the third of what will likely be five or six appearances on his rehab assignment. With three scoreless appearances with Durham under his belt, McGee is trending toward an activation by the Rays within the next week. It remains to be seen if the Rays' current closer-by-committee approach will hold up, or if McGee will reprise the role that he held for the bulk of 2014.
