At this point in time, the team has yet to say when McFarland will throw his first bullpen session, however, it's likely that he'll do so in the coming days. The club expects McFarland to be activated from the DL sometime in September, at which point he'll rejoin an Orioles bullpen that has an ERA of just 3.07, the third-lowest in the league.
