McCutchen (knee) said he was dealing with more than knee discomfort when he missed 10 games during spring training, Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. For whatever reason, the outfielder declined to specify the nature of his injury. McCutchen said he feels confident he can avoid the disabled list, but the news of his health continues to worsen.
