McCutchen (broken rib) remains out of the lineup Sunday, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports. Sunday will mark McCutchen's sixth straight day out of the lineup, but he was able to take some swings and throw from 90 feet Saturday. Manager Clint Hurdle described it as a big step forward, and it appears the Pirates are content to continue holding off on a DL decision to see how he progress in the next several days.
